The process of improving the comfort of occupants inside a building by regulating the temperature to a desirable state is known as air conditioning (AC). ACs not only cools the inside of buildings but also electrical devices that emit heat, for example power amplifiers and computer servers, and storing or displaying artwork. An air conditioner mostly uses a fan to distribute air that is conditioned in a building or inside a car to improve the quality of air inside and thermal comfort.
Apart from the AC that uses fans there is another that are called electric refrigerant-based devices which have units that range from serving smalls spaces like bedrooms to units that condition air in larger spaces like tall buildings. The cooling effect is brought by a refrigeration cycle but evaporation and free cooling methods are used sometimes. Desiccants are chemicals that remove water from air and together with pipes that are subterranean which distribute the refrigerant that is heated to the ground for purposes of cooling make up the system of an AC. In general, air conditioning can be said to be a form of technology which affects the condition of air.
Plumbing is a process that uses pipes, plumbing fixtures, tanks, valves and other apparatuses to convey any particular kind of fluid for a broad range of applications. Plumbing fixtures are devices that are exchangeable and use the water that can be connected to a plumbing system of a building. Some uses for plumbing are like heating and cooling, potable delivery of water and waste removal and it is not limited to such applications. In order to heat water, fossil fuels and solid fuels can be consumed directly or they can be harnessed energy that in turn forms electricity, and this electricity can be used to heat water.
